The second parts aren´t bad
Around the world many film writers, producers and directors say that when a movie is successful the sequel is very bad, you probably think the same and for that reason you don’t go to the movies to see a sequel but are a lot of examples that proves the sequels aren´t bad.

The Terminator is a 1984 science fiction film directed and co-written by James Cameron. This movie is about unstoppable android assassin (The Terminator) who has been sent back from the year 2029. The Terminator's mission is to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) whose future son leads a resistance against the machines. The Terminator received positive reviews and was placed in Time Magazine's Top 10 Films of 1984 but The Terminator 2: Judgment Day was much better.

The Terminator 2: Judgment Day received a lot of awards. It was a box-office success, earning $204.8 million in the United States alone, and was the highest grossing film of 1991. The original Terminator grossed only $38 million in the U.S. in its theatrical run, making Terminator 2's 434% increase a record for a sequel. Also was placed #33 on Total Film's 2006 list of The Top 100 Films of All Time.

Shrek is a 2001 computer-animated American comedy film, directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson. The film is about a large, strong, solitude, intimidating but loving ogre named Shrek. This film received a lot of good critics and was the first film to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, a category introduced in 2001. However Sherk 2 was well received by a number of critics, many rating it as good as its predecessor, and some rated it even better.

Spider-Man is a 2002 based on the fictional Marve Comics character Spider-Man. The film was directed by Sam Raimi. This movie was extremely well received but the sequel Spider - Man 2 won the Academy Award for Visual Effects, and was nominated for Sound and Sound Editing.

Terminator 2, Sherk 2 and Spider-Man 2 are three examples of successful sequels. The three won a lot of awards and were well received by the public this proves that the second parts can be great.
